This typical 1970’s ranch in Gresham, Oregon was in a great neighborhood, had a wonderful sized yard and they loved everything else about the home. The kitchen and dining room were originally two spaces, divided by the dreaded kitchen peninsula with overhead cabinets that left many scars from the homeowners hitting their heads on it. They did not have any children, but loved to cook and entertain, so they asked that we open the entire space, add cabinetry to the once ‘eat-in’ area, and make it feel like it had been that way all along.
