Not-so-boring Kitchen Remodel in Boring, Oregon
We had a great time remodeling this 1980s kitchen! The homeowners wanted something classic, timeless, and functional for them as they age-in-place. We opened the kitchen to the rest of the home to allow easier flow during family gatherings, as well as to accommodate future walkers or wheelchairs if needed. You’ll notice that drawers were the primary choice for lower cabinets to make it easier for these homeowners to access their items. Additional overhead, task, and under cabinet lighting was installed to make food preparation easier as well. New engineered hardwood floors replaced the blue carpet in the entire main living spaces and fresh paint throughout created a cohesive space between the kitchen and main living space.
We love how every detail of this kitchen is thought out for our homeowners to enjoy now and in the future – without sacrificing on design choices!
